Fouad, who is of Moroccan descent, was born in Algeria in 1971. He moved to Toulouse, France, in 1978 at the age of 7. He is a prolific muralist, contemporary painter and DJ. He has also created sculptures and installations for public and sponsored events.
In 2016, he started his own art project called “Jardin Orange” in Shenzhen, which invites international and local artists to do art every month. He has experimented with different media, using pens, markers, metallic paint and spray paint. The result is a richly textured and saturated surface that successfully evokes emotions of endearment and fun in his vibrant canvases.

His “Los Chicanos” series features funny chicken characters. The small, colorful chickens have large eyes and round bodies. When asked what they mean, the artist has alluded that they serve as a parody of human beings as we live in this modern, overcrowded world.
Fouad has exhibited in galleries in several countries including China, Indonesia, Singapore, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, the United States and Morocco.
The HQB Museum also reflects collective memories of Huaqiangbei, showcasing electronic products made over the past 40 years in the No. 1 electronics market in China.
