Common Pass – ReOpening Borders with Thomas Crampton
December 16 @ 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
|As we waive a ‘fond’ farewell to 2020, the whole world is preparing to get inoculated against Covid-19 and there are some highly innovative organisations who have co-developed technology solutions that will help bring life back to ‘normal’ again. The Commons Project, The World Economic Forum and a broad coalition of public and private partners are collaborating to launch CommonPass, a trusted, globally-interoperable platform for people to document their COVID-19 status (health declarations / PCR tests / vaccinations) to satisfy country entry requirements, while protecting their health data privacy. Our guest speaker for the final Web Wednesday of 2020 will be Thomas Crampton, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at the Commons Project Foundation.Pre-register here for another raw and eye-opening zoom-side chat.Thomas has held senior global and regional digital roles based out of Hong Kong, London and New York. Prior to that, he was a foreign correspondent for The New York Times and the International Herald Tribune. He is also a Web Wednesday alumni, having spoken at one of our gatherings on the then-nascent phenomenon we now call “social media”.The interview will continue as a typical “fireside chat” for around 45-60 minutes and then I will facilitate 15-20 minutes of questions; one condition, show your face when you ask the question as it’s more compelling to see your expressions.|
See you on Zoom at 5pm on Wednesday 16th December, 2020.
