NSIC | Changes You Should Know About Individual Income Tax
December 19 @ 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
China has implemented a reform of the Individual Income Tax (“IIT”) aiming at reducing the tax burden of individual taxpayers. On 1st January 2019, the new PRC IIT Law associated with its detailed implementation rules as well as a series of supplementary IIT regulations (collectively referred to as the “New IIT Rules”) came into effect.
One of the main differences between the old IIT rules and the New IIT Rules is giving a new definition of“PRC tax resident” and “non-PRC tax resident”, which means some expats need to pay the tax of their income in China.
